One of the things I like most about Chicago:

If you go to a grocery store in a Polish neighborhood, it'll have really good Polish stuff. Like, the random "Shop and Save" out by the Down Syndrome center that we go to ... it's just a random store ... but mmmmmmmm the sausages.

I think you can broaden that to a thing to like about Chicago: ethnic neighborhoods. We don't have so many of those here in Minnesota. Ethnic towns, particularly in southern MN, but not so much with the ethnic neighborhoods in the cities.

This is a major reason I like Toronto so much - the plethora of cool ethnic neighbourhoods with authentic foods and clothes and entertainment, etc.

The cabbage rolls have always been my favorites. They were tasty and so hit the spot. I didn't know I needed a fix until I saw them in the case.:)

Those are golumky (sp). Perogie are the potato, cheese, mushroom, onion, saurkraut, etc. filled dumplings.
