There's an automotive school or something in Minneapolis that runs solely on car donations. Anyone have a clue who they are or how to contact them? I've decided to donate my old car rather than sell it for $100 or so, because the lack of steering makes it dangerous.

I believe the requirement is that you have to drive it there with current registration. (They aren't interested in junk-yard fodder.)

jinx.

I can do that. I'll need to scrounge a ride home, but ...

I live barely blocks from Newgate and would happily give you a ride home.

I know Goodwill accepts cars, but evidently they don't fix them or teach with them. Newgate School does both of these things, though.

You're thinking of Newgate, but there are multiple options for donating cars these days. Courage Center is one that springs to mind and I think the United Way has options.

Right. But ... who is most deserving?

That's easy: I am most deserving. But I don't want your car. Pie will suffice.
