Friday Night

Ann Viviano and I have a gig tomorrow night, Friday, at Betsy's Back Porch Coffee Shop at Diamond Lake and Nicollete, 7:30-9:30.

http://www.betsysbackporchcoffee.com/.

Michael Matheny will be joining us for a few songs here and there, and both my son and my sister will be in the audience, as of course will the girl and the usual suspects. Please come.

In other news, Nicholas can hear somewhat, but we've still no idea of the extent of his hearing ability. He probably has fluid behind the eardrums that will have to be dealt with in a few months if it doesn't get better by itself. He also weighs a whopping 10 lbs 13.5 oz.

I am so there. And I just weasled out a of freelance gig so I won't be working or trying to work or thinking about work or even thinking about not working.

You should use the time to plan your next work.

I've passed on two gigs in the past two weeks, and the one I'm waiting on is not materializing. What, I'm supposed to work 50hrs a week and that's IT?

50? Why should you get off so easy?

[identity profile] 90-percent-sure.livejournal.com 2007-02-23 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
I said 50 a week, not 50 a month like you work.

HI-YO!

(you set 'em up, I knock 'em down)

I'm just bitter because I won't be able to come. Therefore, the rest of the world should suffer. Such is the magnitude of my bitterness.

I miss you guys. :(

I am so not. I am having dinner at Aunt Judy's house.

I'm sorry you won't meet my sister (again. She was at that first wedding thing). Oh well. This summer she'll be back, I hope, for the next wedding thing.

I was certain he could hear, and am pleased to be right!

Yeah, it's so clear he responds to sounds. But he also doesn't get startled or woken by loud sounds, so it wouldn't surprise me to learn he had some hearing loss. But ... it might just be liquid behind the drum, so that's the next big question.

birthday

Hey he's 6 weeks old today!

So he is!

Most new babies don't get woken up by loud sounds.

They have a natural sound barrier, which begins to "break down" around 3 months of age.

i realise that this does not perclude the possibility of him having hearing loss, but i thought you should know that his lack of waking from noise at this point isn't any sort of an indicator.

Keep the pictures coming, that baby is just gorgeous, i love seeing pics of him!

Interesting. Thanks, I didn't know.

Yup-the above is very true. I used to think Cb couldn't hear. And then we accidentally sent feedback through an amp he was napping near...

He could hear. And complain. It was an amazing discovery.
