(no subject)

I have the internets in our new apartment!

We also have windows in all the windows, though not screens yet, and haven't installed the ACs yet.

We have a toilet but no sinks in either the kitchen or bathroom. The plumber did all his stuff though, we're told, so that should be soon.

The kitchen counters and bathroom wall needs tiles.

Then there will be a few weeks of little jobs, but we'll be in here by then.

Most of all, we have permission to stay in this luxury condo by the cheese shop for a few more days. So, all is well, if still in extended transition.

Probably get some unpacking done tonight.

If this seems choppy and abbreviated, that's cause it is! But I'm off to meet with my Dean.

Good to hear that things are progressing, if slowly.

I take it back on his behalf. Things have hit a stand still and we most certainly do not have a toilet. I'm ready to explode.

We left here yesterday and were told that by the end of the day there would be water and sinks and toilets. We have none of those. They're not even in place. We need to be out of the condo tomorrow and this place is still unliveable.

Oh, no.

Do you need some help down there? John & Michelle Donat live close, and will almost certainly be able to help. The Insleys are much further away, but even more potentially helpful.

Call or send me e-mail and we'll figure something out.

We're probably ok.

What we need is another 5 days with people as awesome, helpful, and known-to-us (and Nico) as Laura and David. So we can have the help unpacking we needed.

We'll cope. But we're displeased.
