Good article. Suddenly relevant, maybe. Great site by an MD and dad.

Nico's results on the TSH are just slightly above normal.

The next big word of the day, class, is Endocrinologist.

Good job!

Sometimes I pause and think about kids like ours whose folks don't have educations or resources or clues. Gives a new meaning to "Life just isn't fair," doesn't it?

I don't really even know how to compare between lives anymore. It's one of the most powerful things I've learned. Or sort of learned.

I've never thought fair was all that relevant when it comes to things we can't control. I just don't think the universe at large has that word in it's vocabulary. Life is neither fair or unfair it just is what it is and we have to parse that out and figure out what to make of it and how to cope.

I generally steer away from thinking about things that aren't as I wish in terms of fairness. I find it humbling.

My very good friend Rachel (you may remember her as my McGill roommate and a former Danser) is a pediatric endocrinologist, if you have any interest at all in getting her opinion on things pediatric and endocrinological.

Thanks for this. We'll see after we meet our doctor and what our confidence level in her is.
