Vote early, vote often

Turnout on the first day of early voting was up all across Texas, according to initial numbers from the Secretary of State’s office. But Houston and Dallas were off the charts — the numbers show a 10-fold increase over 2004. In Harris County four years ago, only 728 people showed up for the Democratic primary on the first day of early voting. Yesterday it was 9,243.

From Texas Observer.

From 728 to 9243!!! Exciting.

The Texas vote

Regardless of how one feels about Obama, I think it is a wonderful thing that anything at all has happened to bring so many voters out of the woodwork. Let's hope these people decide that they enjoy being civic-minded and that they want to keep on being influential. (I like most of what I have heard from Obama, but Clinton seems to be more on target regarding health care -- a big issue for me. Even so, I will vote for whomever the Democrats finally agree on -- or decide to nominate, rather, since "agreement" may be the wrong term.)

Aren't you suppose to be shoveling salt?

Are you home with my favorite baby?

Please kiss him all over, his, fore head, checks, hands and belly. Play thanx.

March is too far away. I can't wait so long.
