Awake

The good news is that my son will be more or less on French time as of the morning, and my wife might be too. They are asleep. Nico woke at 3:45 local time and took about 45 minutes to be soothed back into sleep (at least, I hope he's still asleep! I'm downstairs). I'm awake.

On the bright side, I got to watch Jason Bay hit a 12th-inning 3b and Lowrie single him in to win the game.

We almost caught you one too. Someone lost track of their toddler briefly at the airport and I thought, Laura wouldn't let them run away.:)

LOL ahahahahahah yes because I will no doubt be the superior none child running parent. I can see me now in an airport with screaming child who dosn't know us form adam. But at least it he/she won't get to be a runner.

You have such lovely fantasy's of me. :) No doubt one reason why my love for you is so big!

What are you guys going to do today? There is so much you have to show Nico! I think you should start with a proper croissant!

If he'll eat it. He's been oddly picky about bread.

We're going to a local market, and then I think Chinon where there is some medieval thing for me to groan at. Bruce says, "It will be like the Renn Faire, only non-ironic."

To market! To market! To buy a fat pig!

You had to know that the bosox reference would draw a response from me! I watched that whole game. Nice the way it ended, but not exactly the offense waking up. Bay saved a run in the field and Manny wouldn't have been on third to score on Lowrie's infield single. I also watched Manny's first two ABs--do miss that swing already.

There is a funny Mannny related Sportscenter commercial that never aired--on a site that I got to (if memory serves) from Neyer): Manny just sitting around being a normal guy and the sportscasters wtching him and cracking up about how wacky he is.

Funny to me to see your post on SoSH--knowing where you are and all.

I remember that first O-cab at bat.

Last time I was in France, the Red Sox got swept in 5 games by the Yankees. I hope this trip goes better.
