Today's Talking Point
"It's your money!" - Ah, the cry of the Republicans when they talk about taxes.
But it's also "your money" when no-bid contracts are given to corrupt corporate cronies who overcharge AND underperform.
It's also "your money" when it's squandered on 'pork-barrel' projects.
It's also "your money" that has kept Michael Brown (late FEMA director Brownie) on the government payroll as a 'consultant.'
It's also "your money" that pays Congress hefty salaries to work two days a week.
It's also "your money" that will, someday, have to deal with this deficit.

It annoys me to no end when people I know go off the deep end about welfare mothers "cheating the government" and "spending their money" when the amount of money spent on military spending is something like $400 Billion dollars, AND we have something like a $480B deficit and we spend the equivalent of $20B on social services.
So, personally, I think we can see who the bigger cheats are.

It's their money--if they don't want to pay it, let them keep off the roads and out of the schools and parks and libraries. Let their houses burn and their rights remain undefended.
We're all in this together, and we're all supposed to contribute.
Makes me mad.

Jack Van Impe likes to brag about being a close advisor to GWB. Doesn't that make you feel better now?
