On the slippery wood floor, through a combination of pivoting, backing up (which happens when he gets up on all fours), sliding, and pivoting again, my son is moving around.
Our oldest, Ben, who has no physical disability affecting mobility (what he had was a bilateral cleft lip and alveolar ridge), first crawled backward. He would get sooooo frustrated--he'd get up on all fours and want to go after something (usually the cat!) and he'd go backward instead. We didn't want to laugh at him, but it really was funny.
If Nico is going backward on all fours, it may not be long till he goes forward.
