On the slippery wood floor, through a combination of pivoting, backing up (which happens when he gets up on all fours), sliding, and pivoting again, my son is moving around.
Our oldest, Ben, who has no physical disability affecting mobility (what he had was a bilateral cleft lip and alveolar ridge), first crawled backward. He would get sooooo frustrated--he'd get up on all fours and want to go after something (usually the cat!) and he'd go backward instead. We didn't want to laugh at him, but it really was funny.
If Nico is going backward on all fours, it may not be long till he goes forward.
Backward is very normal... both ours found the reverse gear first... won't be long now... once he starts moving... if he gets a 3 or 4 step head start... how fast do you run!!
BTW, I loved the pic of Nico on the Rocket Ship car! Looks like he likes it..
Oh, no! You don't want him to get mobile... once they get a taste of that stuff they never look back. ;-) Mine figured out how to crawl and it seems like he was running five minutes later. Trust me, they can *move*, and catching them is akin to wrasslin' a greased pig. Gah! ;-)
Seriously, I'd kill for a video too. Bless his heart, Mister Determined is going to get somewhere!
