On the slippery wood floor, through a combination of pivoting, backing up (which happens when he gets up on all fours), sliding, and pivoting again, my son is moving around.
Well, it's odd backwards. What happens is he raises his hind legs then lifts up his arms and his legs go backwards. He rocks then lowers back down again and has moved an inch or two away from his target. Repeat. Add some sliding and rotating into it, and you've got ... sort of locomotion.
