I just posted some nasty things about Cindy McCain, but am deleting them. I am just frustrated at the attacks on Michelle Obama.
If Cindy were a democrat, the insults, addictions, thefts and (alleged) infidelities would be plastered all over every media outlet.
Maybe I'm glad she's not.

There was a lot of talk about this on adoption mailing lists in the past; as a general rule, Americans weren't allowed to adopt from Bangladesh (at least at that time), and a lot of people who wanted to adopt were very upset that apparently she got around the rules by lying.

Date: 2008-06-20 09:29 pm (UTC)They are also, outside of liberal blogs, not talking about her drug addiction, the theft of said drugs from a charity meant to help people in the third world, that she didn't have to go to jail for this because she's rich and white, her downright illegal lending of a company jet to the campaign (this is an illegal campaign contribution), alleged infidelities, the time McCain told reporters he called her a cunt, or any number of other shady things.
What frustrates me is that if a black woman, let alone a black woman democrat, did any of these things, we'd see it on the news channels 24/7 for 2 months. Maybe it shouldn't be a part of politics, but it damn sure shouldn't be a part of politics for only one side.
