I was getting bored with Sylar the Escalating Psycho last season but now I love him again. It's hard not to love an actor that's having so much fun with his role. I cracked up at that scene outside the hostage crisis when he looks around and goes, "Hey! I'm in a cop show now! Oh, boy!" and starts barking orders at the scared looking local fuzz, ending with, "Oh, and bring me some coffee!" *hee*
I don't know if you can exactly call it "character development." It's a little too random for that. This season kind of feels like the actors spent the entire writers' strike hanging around the set with Tim Kring complaining about their characters and whining, "I'm sick of being a stripper; I wanna be a smart political operative." "Yeah, well, I'm tired of doing stupid voice overs and getting beat up. I want to be a Love Machine!" "In that case, I'm not going to be a cheerleader anymore. I want a skin-tight rubber catsuit and a big ol' gun!" "Hey, that's not fair! I want..."
