The Obamas on clothing and shopping.
Oct. 22nd, 2008 05:34 pmIn the wake of the news that the Palin wardrobe cost 150,000 dollars, much of it spent at Nieman Marcus in Minneapolis, I recommend you watch this video of the Obamas talking about clothing. If you hear anyone saying something like, "both sides do it," I recommend you send them this video.

Date: 2008-10-22 10:44 pm (UTC)I'm telling you, I'm really warming up to the McCain Palin ticket. You think I'm kidding, but I'm not. I think $100/per year of life on a purse really represents me and my beliefs and also I am pro-American! And such!
(ok. I threw up in my mouth a little.)

Date: 2008-10-22 11:05 pm (UTC)There's this (http://fashionista.com/2008/10/michelle_obama_fashion_psychic.php)short list of other smaller, up-&-coming designers that she's chosen to wear on TV.
That's what I could find quickly. I think she's really demonstrating a nice blend of on-camera stuff- the GAP dress in the vid you link to above, but also the Thakoon, etc- smaller designer stuff- clearly she's into the look and the fit of the thing, and not the logo, you know?
