So it turns out that when you open a whipped cream canister, you're supposed to squeeze the nozzle until all pressure releases. On the other hand, if you've been squeezing for awhile and you think that the pressure is gone, but YOU ARE WRONG, the ensuing explosion of whipped cream bits all over your kitchen - floor, wall, clean dishes, fridge, other wall, window, other wall, cabinets, dirty dishes - creates a bit of a mess.

This has been a Public Service Annoucement.

I will try not to laugh. :)

We want - nay, need - to see pictures of the aftermath.

Thanks for the PSA.

Oops. We, uh, cleaned it up before the cats went crazy (the boy cat CANNOT digest anything milk related, and we really hate cleaning cat vomit). So no pictures.

I'd be happy to recreate it in your kitchens though! :)

And to think you're the dad!

It's good to learn these things before the child shows up.:)

Hey I didn't leave my gloves over there on Sunday did I? I can't seem to find them and I know I wore them to your house but can't recall coming back with them. There black and leather.

[identity profile] davidschroth.livejournal.com 2006-12-07 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't remember seeing any gloves around the house (other than in the glove basket by the back door).

If you did leave them at Harriet Manor, do you have any kind of vague idea of where in the Manor you might have left them?

[identity profile] buttonlass.livejournal.com 2006-12-07 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I probably didn't leave them there. David seems to think I was wearing them in the car on the way home so they must be in our car or house.

Thank you though.

Most professionals...

Use their nose to ensure there's no NO left in the container... Of course, they act rather silly afterwards. Here, you're just acting silly without the benefits. ;-)

What I find funny is how long it took me to witness such an event. Given all my years spent at a coffee shop I would have thought I would have seen this sooner.

I will say I've seen a fair amount of "testing" though.:)

LOL Wish I had seen that in person.

This is why I always held down the release lever the whole time while unscrewing the lid. :)

And once the kid's around you have to use it just for whipped cream ;-)
